Mark Price (Owner / President His hobbies are exercising, weigh lifting, home projects and studying the Word of God. Mark is the owner/president of Painters Plus of Pensacola, Inc. and has been serving the Pensacola area for 27 years. He is a 1972 graduate of Pensacola High School. Furthering his education at Pensacola Junior College and Troy State. Mark has built Painters Plus upon the principles of doing things the way he’d like them done if he were the customer. He always tries to give extra effort to his customer, ensuring at all times that things are kept honest and ethical. He looks forward to growing Painters Plus into a well established tradition in the Pensacola and surrounding areas - known for their professional approach and the quality of their product that is difficult to match. Shop Rules Supplies and equipment must be checked in and out on the clipboards provided in the shop. Partial cans of paint returned should be labeled with job name (for use as touch-up). Shop alarm will be set if you leave for lunch. If you have a key, lock up the shop when leaving, being sure the spray room vent window is closed and the air compressor and lights are off. Work Site Manners No food or drink will be brought into the houses or building without prior permission from the owner. Employees should ask homeowner’s permission before using any appliances or restroom facilities. Appropriate Work Attire You are required to wear a clean Painters Plus T-shirt and white pants daily. Please wash P.P. T-shirts according to the label. White shorts may be worn if they have a hem. You may wear Painters Plus caps or paint company caps with their logos or advertising. Earrings are NOT allowed. Questionable tattoos (i.e. Offensive containing nudity or in poor taste) MUST be covered at all times. Absolutely NO profanity will be tolerated by the Painters Plus crew. A watch is required so that you can accurately judge the time you are on the job. Contact Mark if this is a problem. Employee Performance *** VERY IMPORTANT*** Monday appointments: Monday is the most critical day of the week at Painters Plus. Therefore, we ask that appointments requiring time-off not be made on Mondays. It is also our policy not to tolerate unexcused or last minute absentees. Most jobs at Painters Plus begin on Monday. Your absence (excused or unexcused) on Monday is a major complication for us to properly service our customer. Quality of work If you finish a job and it is not up to the standards that are the norm for Painters Plus, you will be asked to do the necessary re-work at that job to bring it up to the expectations of Painters Plus at your expense. That is, you will not be paid for the work that has to be redone. If the situation is due to negligence on your part. You will be responsible to pay for any damage that is done as a result of your carelessness. Some examples are:
Safety and Conscientiousness First Customer Relations Painters Plus of Pensacola is the premier residential painting company in the Pensacola area because our work is outstanding… “We don’t leave a job until it is correct and our clients are happy.” As Painters Plus employees you are expected to live up to Painters Plus’ standards of excellence in quality work and on-the-job behavior. If you have problems on the job with the customer, with the product or the application of the product, please call me (Mark Price). I am here to help. DO NOT discuss the situation with the customer. Colossian 3:23 and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not unto men. Painter Plus believes in following Biblical Principles in all aspects of life. For you, the employee, you need to know who you are working for and what Painters Plus stand for. We don’t hire painters… We choose them. Drug and Alcohol Free Work Place Painters Plus is a drug and alcohol free work place. Preliminary drug and alcohol testing is performed on all new hires. All employees of Painters Plus will be subject to random (ongoing) drug and alcohol screening. If, at any time, a test is returned with a positive result, it will result in the employee’s immediate termination. Weekend/nightly consumption of alcohol, that leaves alcohol on your breath during work hours, will result in employee’s immediate termination. Smoking Smoking is allowed on breaks only. Off job-site (you may go to the street or your car if it is parked on the street). No smoking is allowed in any building or homes. No smoking in or around Painters Plus Shop. Carry mints to help alleviate the smoke odor. Hours Normal working hours are from 7 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. unless an alternate time is requested by the homeowner. You will have a 10 minute break in the morning and afternoon with a 30 minute lunch break at 12 noon. DO NOT leave the job during breaks. Return promptly to work after breaks. Do NOT work through lunch break as you will not be paid for it. If you need more time to finish your daily work, do so after 3:30 p.m. If you need time off, you must notify management with the request PRIOR to the date/time needed. Record times accurately. Time Sheets Time sheets must be kept on a daily basis. Do not wait till the morning they are due. These must be accurate and clearly legible. Time sheets must include the times and the job names worked at those times. Work time begins when you are ready with tools in hand, NOT arrival time. Time sheets are to be handed into management. Overtime and make-up time should be clearly marked to the side of each day’s recording. Make-up time MUST be made up on Saturdays. ALL INVOICES MUST BE TURNED IN ON FRIDAYS DON’T GUESS AT YOUR TIME! I WON’T GUESS AT YOUR CHECK! Advancement and Raises Job performance and adherence to procedures will not go unnoticed. Communication is very important… It will not be overlooked if communication is not honored through channels. Message from Management Some of these requirements may seem detailed. However these “Standards of Excellence” set Painters Plus apart from others. They also keep things running smoothly.
